Executive Function Coaching
At Pathway to Independence, we help neurodiverse young adults develop executive function skills that integrate into all areas of life—not just academics. Our coaching empowers individuals to manage time, set goals, and stay organized, whether navigating college, work, or daily responsibilities.
We focus on:
Time Management: Prioritize tasks and manage deadlines effectively across academic and personal commitments.
Goal Setting: Create actionable plans to achieve realistic academic, professional, or personal goals.
Organization: Build systems to track information, manage resources, and enhance productivity.
Problem-Solving: Develop strategies to tackle challenges, from difficult coursework to life responsibilities.
Our personalized, holistic approach ensures that the skills we build together are practical and sustainable, helping young adults thrive in their unique journeys.
-
At Pathway to Independence, we meet clients where they are—coaching in their everyday environments for maximum impact. Sessions typically last 1 hour, focusing on time management, organization, and problem-solving. For best results, we recommend meeting 2–3 times per week to reinforce skills and integrate strategies into daily life. Schedules are always tailored to individual needs and preferences.
Academic Coaching
-
With a background in education and expertise in adapting materials to meet diverse learning needs, I provide personalized academic coaching to support college and high school students who are struggling academically.
Key areas of support include:
Breaking Down Assignments: Simplifying tasks and breaking down rubrics to ensure your student understands the assignment from start to finish, building clarity and confidence.
Study Strategies: Tailoring methods to each student’s learning style for effective exam preparation.
Paper Support: Structuring, editing, and aligning work with rubrics to meet assignment requirements.
Regular Check-Ins: Ongoing guidance to troubleshoot challenges, track progress, and adjust strategies as needed.
Pathway to Independence provides more than just tutoring; we focus on empowering students with practical strategies and personalized support, helping them build the confidence and skills needed to overcome academic challenges and succeed on their own terms.
-
Academic coaching at Pathway to Independence is tailored to your needs, with sessions ranging from 1 to 10 hours per week. Frequency and duration are customized to provide the right level of support to help you stay on track and achieve your academic goals.
Educational REsources and Materials
-
At Pathway to Independence, we create and sell educational resources designed specifically for neurodiverse learners, including students who may not be performing at grade level. Our materials are age-respectful, inclusive, and adaptable—allowing educators, coaches, and parents to meet learners where they’re at without sacrificing dignity or engagement.
We specialize in materials that:
Are visually clear, easy to understand, and reduce cognitive overload
Use inclusive language and representation
Are hands-on, functional, and practical, supporting executive function and real-world learning
Can be customized or scaffolded to support a wide range of abilities
Help remove prep time for teachers and coaches so they can focus on actually teaching
These resources are ideal for:
Learners with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, or executive functioning challenges
Students who may feel left out by traditional, grade-level materials
Educators who want to promote equity and accessibility in their classrooms
Parents or service providers seeking ready-to-use, research-informed tools
How to become a client with us!
Parent of a student at a university in Boulder,
"Sydni truly understands my teenager in a way that has made all the difference. She does so much more than help with academics and executive function—she genuinely cares about his emotional well-being and takes the time to build a meaningful connection with him. As parents, we’ve also felt incredibly supported by Sydni. She explains potential options clearly, offers insightful feedback, and ensures we feel confident in how we can best support our son. Her thoughtful and knowledgable approach has been invaluable to our family. We absolutely love working with her!"

Our services are designed for neurodivergent young adults seeking to enhance their independence through improved academic performance, life skills, and executive functioning. However, you do not need to be neurodiverse to benefit from our services; we welcome anyone looking for personalized support to develop these skills and transition into greater independence.
-
At Pathway to Independence, transportation will not be provided by our employees. While learning how to navigate public transportation is an important skill we can work on together, our staff will not transport clients in their personal vehicles. If a session is scheduled to take place out in the community, participants are required to transport themselves or use the opportunity to practice transportation strategies as part of their coaching plan. This approach supports independence and skill-building around navigating your community.
